Building Up Baltimore exists to hand young people the pen—to help them see themselves as architects, builders, engineers, developers, and leaders shaping Baltimore's future.
We believe workforce education begins with authorship. Before someone can imagine becoming an architect, engineer, builder, or developer, they have to see themselves as someone capable of shaping the future of their city. That's the model we're building.
Rather than asking students to commit to a semester-long curriculum, Building Up Baltimore introduces career pathways through short, memorable, real-world learning experiences we call vignettes.
Short, immersive episodes make it easier for young people to explore multiple career paths, stay engaged, and discover what excites them before committing to a longer educational journey.
